Robbo
Don't really understand the question - what are you attempting to achieve? As far as I know, you can't upgrade a standard chassis to a maxi chassis by just using bigger wheels. The wheel hubs have a different stud pattern. Also, the maxi chassis has bigger disc brakes to cope with the additional permissible axle loads.

But about 4 years ago they started to produce a 16" wheel that will fit on the standard 15" axle, which seems to be fitted only on some motorhomes, not vans. Obviously if you fit them yourself its going to affect the gearing and speedometer.
Derek Uzzell
As Robbo has advised, the hubs of Ducato X250 ‘maxi’ chassis vehicles differ from those of 'non-maxi’ X250s - so you cannot interchange road-wheels between the two types of chassis. This link refers https://www.tyremen.co.uk/guide/fiat-ducato-motorhome-wheels As John52 has said, what could be done (though there would need to be a compelling reason to do so) is fit to a non-maxi Ducato X250 vehicle the 16”-diameter wheels (either steel or alloy) that are optional on later Ducato X290 ‘light’ chassis.
