I went to see the Tour de Yorkshire the first couple of years it was on but missed it this year. The best one though was the Tour de France coming here. It was superb to be surrounded by people from all over Europe that turned up in their droves to watch the event. We saw it at Reeth. The French Gendarmes on their motorbikes put on a great show alongside their British counterparts. A truly European Event on my doorstep.
