baden87
Aha I get it now thank you so much for taking the time and patience to explain this to me I'm so grateful, just one other question though , what if the solar regulator has dual output for 2 batteries? Thank you once again
aandncaravan
You don't need to use the Second battery output on a good quality Solar regulator. Just wire the Sargent cable to the Habitation battery output if there are only two bare wires on the cable, or to both outputs if there are 3 bare wires. Would you be kind enough to report back here on how it went and if there are any corrections that need to be made to some of the assumptions above? baden87
Thanks I certainly will report back , so the lead will charge leisure battery and cab battery as well through the ce
aandncaravan
Yes the Sargent Solar Cable will connect your new Solar Regulator into the Heart of the EC225 charging points where it will automatically charge both the Habitation battery and the Starter battery, but not necessarily at the same time. baden87
Thank you that's exactly what I'm trying to achieve, so I don't need to upgrade to dual solar controller?
aandncaravan
baden87 - 2017-06-06 5:08 PM Thank you that's exactly what I'm trying to achieve, so I don't need to upgrade to dual solar controller? I am sorry, as I said not done an EC225, hence writing above, "Just wire the Sargent cable to the Habitation battery output if there are only two bare wires on the cable, or to both outputs if there are 3 bare wires". I think you need to start with the cable and then work out from there what Solar regulator is required/suits your needs?
