I don't know if you saw the post about a collapsed drop-down bed, here: http://tinyurl.com/yc7x3cqj In that case the collapse was undoubtedly due to water ingress leading to rotting wood, but it did occur to me while reading it that there must be a weight limit on these drip down beds. We were told the weight limit on it was 250kg so plenty of scope for me and my wife. We did try it and it felt solid, the only groaning coming from my wallet.
