Ducato rear springs and bumpstops

Unless you've always found the ride harsh, have you explored the cost of merely replacing the existing spring assistors like for like with new? I'd hope that would be cheapest of all.

 

Looking at how misshapen they have become, that'd be my first port of call.

The Fiat Part Number for a ‘genuine’ Ducato X250 ‘bump stop’ is (apparently) 1351266080 as shown on these adverts

The bump-stop is hollow and - if the bump-stop is touching the spring - the hole in the centre of the bump-stop’s lower end should marry up with a ‘dome’ in the upper surface of a metal plate attached to the spring. The bump-stop in Snowie’s photo is decidedly off-vertical, suggesting that the bump-stop and the ‘dome’ are not in proper contact.
