Thankfully as discussed the numbers are decreasing dramatically.

Decreasing or a temporary pause whilst the Libyan smugglers take a EU bung? ;-) .......

The numbers arriving in Spain are increasing :-| .........

https://www.euroweeklynews.com/news/on-euro-weekly-news/spain-news-in-english/1471261-migration-to-spain-to-rise-in-2018-eu-agency

Almost sounds like your disappointed the migrant crisis is waning Dave. Go look at the full figures, in general it's down by over half what it was.

Syrian war is dying down, ISIS are all but finished and the EU done a deal with Turkey as well as feeding money into Lybia. You all complained they hadn't done anything so they have. However it's controversial. Returning migrants to Libya is probably a worse fate than what they were trying to escape and Turkey is not exactly a bed of roses either.

Well both the Beano boys can quit whining....or at least Antony can.

Spain has settled the matter by accepting the ship which will dock at Valencia.

Pelmet will need to look for another EU country to escape to now. Alternatively he could stay in the tatty fields of 'sunny' Lincolnshire like a devoted Brexiteer! (lol)(lol)

The figures you quote, are just the numbers who have managed to cross......Not those who are waiting to cross *-) ........

The numbers to Spain are expected to increase because of the routes to Italy are being stifled :-| ........

So as I said I reckon its a pause not a reduction in those actually heading towards Europe 8-) .........

Don't worry ... I'm sure Spain will join the growing list of EU countries to say they don't want Muslim migrants ... Can't think why they don't want em

Never mind Libya and Turkey not being a bed of roses ... My sympathy is with the areas in the EU that have taken large numbers of chancers in ... What a mess

Given that three of the four nationalities on board come from predominantly Christian countries i'm struggling to see how you automatically conclude they are Muslim migrants!

There is also an international law regarding 'lives at sea'.

The International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea dictates that any ship learning of distress at sea must assist regardless of the circumstances.

Yep......So there's no reason they cant be taken straight back to Libya once rescued? :-| .........

If we did then that would do far more to prevent further migrants attempting to cross the Med, than giving EU bungs to smugglers *-) ...........

Given many migrants simply throw their ID papers they could say they were from anywhere ... You can prove for sure they are from the countries you say can't ya ???

A lot of them are being taken back to Libya since we repaired all their cost guard boats and funded them. These people were missed and picked up by a charity boat. Trouble with returning to Libya if 40% of them as Antony said are not "chancers" and there are indeed genuine refugees and pregnant woman and children then what happens to them then. Most will end up dead, imprisoned or abused. Maybe your ok with that but a lot of people aren't.

There were definitely pregnant woman and children, toddlers even on the rescue boat as I saw them in the video footage. Plenty of strong looking young males of course as well. No chance to separate the chancers from the real refugees however if you just ship them back.

Sugar plum you need to look back on what I actually said ... Misquoting me makes your point even less valid sweet cheeks ... Wonder how many of those "definitely pregnant women" give birth to a cushion in Spain???

Talking about scumbags those lessons my Granddaughter had at school regarding school safety and lockdown came in handy today ... Someone was seen attempting to scale the boundary fence , the alarm immediately went off and the kids were told to rush back to class where the doors were locked and the police came within minutes ... Its a shame schools have to have such things in place but with our modern threats to society its essential ... Shame one of our biggest members believes school safety is a joke

"Attempting to scale the boundary fence..."??!! To escape or break in? Usually most kids can't wait to get out....not in!! (lol)

Seeing as all school attacks in US are by white kids i assume they've been told to look out for 'em?! ;-)

As the last school attack in UK was over 22 years ago,Yorkshire must have made national news with this? (lol) Oh yeah, come to think of it the perp behind that was white too. Hhmm... ;-)
