After 9/11, aircraft were not allowed to fly over New York... and the temperature went up. I thought the plan was to reduce/prevent global warning. derek pringle Posted July 25, 2018 Share Posted July 25, 2018 Hi, There is now being introduced [via EU] an overriding test of emissions on all vehicles which will give a more exact mpg result than the manufacturers which can sometimes make claim to an unachievable consumption rate on their vehicles.I have just got a new VW Tiguan and have been told I will receive the figure as soon as available. They also say if I am not happy with the result I can change my vehicle. The reason being is that a different mpg figure could obviously incur a lot more spending on fuel and even put the vehicle in a higher class of road tax.
