Archiesgrandad
I would hesitate to try to inject common sense, pleasantness, or facts into an argument such as this normally, but driving on the left is an evolution from riding horses on the left, and is the natural order as we are mostly right handed, and we held our swords etc,. in our right hands, and could best use them to beat off the footpads, rogues, vagabonds, French etc, without fear of cutting the horses' ears off. Old Boney was a left hooker found he had a problem with horses ears, and trained his entire army to ride on the wrong side of the road in order that he should not be inconvenienced. As they fought their way across Europe they imposed this misguided stupidity on all the nations they thought they had conquered, and none of them thought to reverse the mistake as the retreat from Moscow took place. This was also true in other parts of the world where Boney had conquests , IE America, south east Asia Northern Africa etc, You will note that it didn't happen in Japan, India and notable others who still drive on the correct side of the road, because Old Boney never got to them . I believe that world wide the split is about 50/50 left hookers and normal people. AGD
