Keith T
Having a quick scan throught this months MMM, I am quite amazed at the the inaccurate conversions from metric to imperial on the actual size of some of the vehicles. I don't know what table they use, or whether they check before going to print, but some are well adrift, usually the height or width, both of which could be quite important. Autocruise Gleneagle 2.8m shows 9'10" - should be 9'2" Hymer C-Classic 514 2.27m shows 7' 7.5" - should be 7' 5" Maybe nit-picking, and some of the otehr statistce (like payload) may well be more important, but I am quite surprised at such inaccuracies, and there's no logic as the two examples show, as to whether they are too high or too low in the conversion used. OK, I'm I know I'm sad looking at such things, and I only noticed it as I have spent some time looking at new motorhomes and comparing dimensions in both Metric and Imperial...... twooks
The Glendale error is quite significant. Mel B
Which is why we always take a tape measure with us when ever we buy anything where size matters, not just motorhomes, but fridges, freezers, cookers etc.
Keith T
Hi Twooks - well that's a matter of conjecture - I just did the conversions, so one of them is clearly out!!
