I don't think immigrants would like it there , you need a car ,and I don't think they would like the weather either. They would have to be provided with lots of warm clothes and boots! Drive 20 miles west of here and its like an entirely different climate. Pjay is right otherwise though. Its just not practical here. Im guessing cars wont be provided. Based on that rational, you want Brexit, a hard Brexit. When that starts costing people their jobs and they lose their homes are you going to put these people up? I want a police force and fire service and I am prepared to pay for that through taxation but it doesnt mean I have to put on a funny helmet and uniform and go around nicking people. Once they are from what I can gather they are generally glad of the opportunity and hard workers. There are plenty of examples of Syrian and other refugees making a real go of it all over the UK. Anyone that makes it this far from places as far flung as Syria or Iran under their own steam is likely to be intelligent, resourceful and fit. A cut above many of the lazy feckers in this country I would imagine. Im serious, we may well need more people like that very soon. We already do.
