Have you seen Dave and Antony's mug shots? Nobody needs to look at that every day. True........I think they'd prefer my beer gut.....or pink minge :D ......... Brian Kirby
antony1969 - 2018-11-21 5:51 PM......…………...Dum dum ... If you'd put just plain old fake news alls good but you choose to use my birth place to make some kind of point ... Very racist Are you arguing that the good folk of Yorkshire are all of a different race to the inhabitants of the rest of the UK Antony? If they are, where on earth are they from? I thought most of your reservations about the inhabitants related to their religion, not race? It seems Huddersfield has been in existence since before the iron age, so there seems little chance that a single identifiable, dominant race could, actually, persist. According to Wiki the white population seems to be about 80%, compared to about 90% for the rest of the UK. Therefore, I don't see how you can attach "racist" to any description of such a polyglot bunch as the British, with their mix of Celtic, Anglo-Saxon, Roman, Norman French, Flemish, Viking, Jews, Roma, Huguenots, Indians, Africans, Germans, Russians (Jewish), Irish, Arabs, Belgians, and more. We are a race defined only by where we were born and live, not by our ethnicity. Derogatory references to "Yorkshire" may certainly be discriminatory, just as references to "leafy Sussex" are discriminatory when intended to give the impression of a pampered part of Britain (I wish! :-)), but using "racist" in that context seems to me wildly hyperbolic. Yorkshire fake news may even be accurate, depending on whether the news was, indeed, fake, and originated from Yorkshire. Methinks thou doth too much protest! :-D

To attack other posters on here for doing that and then labelling someone basically a Yorkshire Liar is not just in my humble view racism but hypocrisy of the highest standard ... Surely "fake news" would be a sufficient description rather than using my home county in a derogatory manner ... I dont claim Yorkshire are a "different race to the inhabitants of the rest of the UK" Brian but the poster obviously does or why else would you say what he said ???
