MiFi Data - how many Gb do you need abroad?

I have been buying the Three 12GB Data sims via mymemory for a few years now and activate them in Australia before leaving with no issues. They work well in most of Europe but did not work very well in Northern Sweden and Northern Norway last year as they don't appear to have roaming agreements with the carriers up there (got phone signal but would not connect).

Also if using in a MIFI device remember to disable auto updates on phone and tablets including update over wifi only. I bought a new IPAD last year and by default it started to auto update and used over 1 GB of my precious data
