colp645
Hello, I need to replace the pipe to the cold water tap in the bathroom to the basin on my Swift Kontiki 645 KX04 BBK. It's a comet mixer tap with a flexible black/blue hose for cold, black/red for hot. The tap end has broken, if you follow the hose down it goes under the bathroom floor and I can't feel a push fit join anywhere. I believe the hose length to be 1.1 metres. Has anyone done this? Any tips would be appreciated. Many thanks, Col.
thebishbus
If the pipe cannot be reconnected could you not add a new short section and join the two together.?. Brian B.
Derek Uzzell
If it’s just the connector on the flexible hose that has broken, it’s quite likely that, even with a 15-years-old motorhome, a replacement connector can still be obtained. If it’s the part on the tap that the hose connects to that has failed, it may well be that the complete tap will need replacing. Not easy to advise without knowing exactly what’s happened, but it would be odd to have to replace such a long length (1.1m) of hose to fix the fault.
