Hi,

What is the smallest Satelite dish that will receive all Sky broadcasts in Southern Spain, please

Brian

What do you mean by "Sky" broadcasts? Are you including non "Sky" channels like BBC/ITV etc?

Where abouts in southern Spain?

We were in Almera (Capo de Gata ) a few months ago with a .8mt. dish I picked up Sky news and a lot of other stations but not BBC\ITV another campers had a 1.1 dish and picked up everything . But problems when damp, people living on the site had to use 1.3mt,dish to get a satisfactory reception

So it looks like we also will have to get a 1.3 dish next time get a satisfactory reception in this area

Regards Mike

We have a Kathrein CAP210 satellite system with its square dish measuring just .6 metres. For the past three years we have received all the Sky subscription channels (not BBC/ITV) in Albufeira and Marbella as clear as a bell.

I feel that satelllite reception depends on a mixture of dish size and equipment quality. Much like a digital camera, no amount of pixels will give you a good image if the camera comes with a crap lens and poor software.
