Another contradictory poll to that of the Torygraph.

Instead of having all these polls though. Why not just put it to a public vote and find out? Ive asked this a few times of late but no answers from the Brexiteers. Odd that.

Face it, it was a dodgy poll run by the Torygraph by Comres who are notorious for dodgy polls to try and spin it that there was a majority of the public in favour of bypassing parliament to get a no deal. FFS! *-) Whats the point of that? Boris and the cabinet are morons but not totally stupid and of course their advisors are not stupid. They will know there is no "real" public majority for such undemocratic action.

Meanwhile here is what happens when there is a proper poll of nearly a hundred thousand and this one run by the Brexit Party. Oh dear. (lol)

I really worry about your reasoning process. It asked one question and I could have predicted the answer.

Hardly anyone including the PM wants a No Deal Brexit.

But try this poll by an independent polling organisation:

Would you prefer a No Deal Brexit to remaining in the EU?

Or this one :

Would you prefer a No Deal Brexit to defying the will of the people in the 2016 referendum?

And Comres is only dodgy when it comes up with a result you don't like. You are a very odd person.

And of all with an opinion there was a majority! Suck it up!

Ha ha! For The Independent. What was the question?

Do you support leaving without a deal knowing that pestilence and famine will surely follow?

Thats the six million dollar question isnt it? The one in bold above. That is what I am asking. If that is all that is left, those two options then I presume if your in favour of a poll for that you are in favour of that question being put to the public? how could you not be? Should we not find out rather than posting links to polls that support your view from a few thousand people?

We can all find a poll that turns us on ... https://www.westmonster.com/british-public-prefer-no-deal-brexit-to-pm-corbyn-and-second-referendum-poll-finds/ ... We dont really need em though do we because we had a vote didn't we

Interesting that they didn't link to the final outcome of that poll "And those who think a second referendum resulting in a vote to Remain would be a good or acceptable outcome back the Corbyn plan by 70% to 17%."

Why do you think that might be?

That will be the "undemocratic" one according to his letter.

Not only did he vote for it, it was our idea! Boris and the Brexiteers also for months told us that a technological solution to the Irish border issue was no problem so why the concern over the backstop? Put in your solution like you promised, no backstop. Simple eh? *-)

This is why you cannot trust anything, anything at all that comes out of Doris's mouth.

Looks like the EU has thrown its dummy out their pram >:-) .........

If thats what you go by now then i'd say Tusk looks pretty chilled and relaxed.....in fact your Beano states that. Smugg looks bewildered and Doris looks on the verge of a nervous breakdown.

How do you know a techno solution is not possible? There could be a reason why the EU does not want that solution. Or it could simply be Ireland not wanting that solution.

Whatever happens, it will not be the UK manning Border Posts, that will be up to the Irish.

If there was a techno solution do you not think the company that had that solution would have been banging on the door of number ten by now? Whoever comes up with a borderless computerised border will end up richer than Bill Gates. The facts are there HAS been no solution offered by any fecker anywhere for anyone to come up with an excuse as to why they dont want it.

Your last comment about who mans the border is irrelevant even if it were true. The border will still have been caused by Brexit, will still lead to the tearing up of the GFA and probably the return to violence and mass murder and will kiss goodbye to that trade deal with the US the Brexiteers were so fond of (every cloud an all that I suppose)

Do you think that solutions aren't being worked on now?

But it's really quite easy. Anyone transporting goods across the border has to supply the necessary documentation. At crossing points some lorries are checked and some aren't. Customs knows the ones who may be dodgy and the respectable firms which obey the law.

In Ireland we should have a trusted trader scheme. Traders supply the documentation and we work on the honesty principle.

However, we back this up with random checks on all roads using drones and mobile customs officials.

Any company breaking the law should have a fine so massive that others will deem it a risk worth taking.

And if the odd small-time smuggler gets through occasionally, so what? It's not going to crash the economy.

"Boris Johnson's election as leader of the Conservatives has delivered a massive opinion poll boost to the Tories while support for Labour and the Brexit Party has gone backwards, new data suggests.

A survey conducted by KantarTNS between August 15 and 19 puts the Tories on 42 per cent - 17 points higher than the company's last poll in May.

Meanwhile, Labour is on 28 per cent - six points lower than in May - while the Brexit Party is on just five per cent - five points lower than the last poll.

The Liberal Democrats remain stuck on 15 per cent with the election of Jo Swinson as leader last month seemingly having done nothing to boost the party's fortunes."

Bring on that General election if you dare Remoaners >:-) ............

No FunnyJohn I do not think anything is being worked out, nothing at all. All we have had is lie after lie about fancy solutions that don't exist. I've worked in ICT for thirty years and if anything was remotely possible or being worked out I would have heard about it by now and as I said, where are the tech companies with the ideas? Nowhere.

Your other suggestions are full of more holes than a Swiss cheese.

Face it. Hard Brexit means hard border, end of.

I'm well aware that it's never gone away and is still a tinder box situation but since the GFA the atrocities we all witnessed (some of us first hand) before it was signed have been insignificant in comparison. Brexit and a hard border could see all that torn to shreds and a return to those awful

Times. It wasn't just over in Ireland either. You can say goodbye to your US trade deal

If that kicks off again.

The only way to avoid all that is either single market and customs union membership or not leaving. I've been saying that for over three years and three years later nobody not even FunnyJohn has come up with a way of putting the square pegs in the round holes despite us telling you it can't be done. This is why the backstop is so unpopular with the Brexiteers because they know full well they will never have an answer, it's just more lies, they cannot help themselves
