Insurance?

Hi All

Just checking Insurances for my new motorhome, & wondered if they was a way of bringing the price down, I will invest in some extra locks, but would joining a club help, if so which is the best for discounts & support

its great to have someone with some experience in these subject to talk to

I'm no longer a member of the Caravan Club but they used to be very competitive; Camping & Caravanning Club also do deals - but didn't use to be as good, there's also MTC once known as The Motorhome Ticket Club, and I think that Motor Caravanners Club may help.

We had to have a Thatcham alarm fitted to get the van insured originally and in theory it gets us a discount.

A thread was started on this very subject as recent as 2nd Feb this year.  If you put vehicle insurance into the search facility you will find lots of information.

Hi Rob, Safeguard give discounts for club membership, alarms, restriction of drivers, vehicle security and not being used for commuting. They also give very good free UK and Europe breakdown cover, which also covers the larger motorhomes that you would not get if dealing direct with the breakdown company.
