Good for Dave Gilmore. It is however a waste of time trying to convince the deniers that we can make a difference and slow down at least the destruction of our planet. Bullet is right though. If you look at the deniers thankfully they are in a minority but they are also the same cultists that still think Brexit is a good idea. Clearly they are all mad.

Surprised the usual suspects weren't spitting feathers over Dave Gilmour donating the £17 million to famine and homelessness too. They don't like actions of philanthropy and humanitarianism.

Beeb2 screened a great documentary a few years ago which gave a rare insight to Gilmour whose always been fairly private. This is just a short clip but im sure the full doc must be out there though couldn't find it on YT.

Be nice if one day one of our celebs donated their £££££s to the most persecuted folk in the world ... Christians ... Doesnt fit the bang on agenda though I suppose

All my family are Christian.......they've never felt persecuted by anyone or needed financial aid. Famine or homelessness doesn't choose it's religion though and i'm sure there will be some hungry and homeless atheists.

As a Christian you have a much larger family in the Christian world and you need to have a word with those persecuted and left homeless by Muslims to see if religion plays a part in their homelessness

Myanmar Buddhists have persecuted the Rohingya people for years, with Myanmar security forces raping women and children, burning down entire villages, looting, and driving them off their land making them stateless. Ethnic cleansing. UN described the Rohingya as "one of the most persecuted minorities in the world".

Mad? :-S ............Accepting reality is just basic common sense in my book ;-) ............

Perhaps all you tree huggers should do something useful *-) .......ie sail up the Amazon and p*ss on the fires in the rain forest? :D ..........

What makes you mad is your total denial despite all the evidence from thousands of specialists who know what they are talking about. Its the same with Brexit except climate change is much worse. Worse still when Brexit is a disaster and the world fry's and dies you will probably still convince yourself that you were right and all the experts were wrong. That my friend is mad. Bonkers, completely hat stand FUBARED logic.

Where have I denied climate change is happening? :-S ..........It's always happened *-) .........

Just because you're gullible enough to be taken in by the new Canute's religion based on just 140 years of data 8-) ............

We're obviously not as bonkers as you lot :D ...........

So why be so disparaging about those who've spoken out about it and at least try to make a difference? I suspect you're afraid of losing your "street cred".

For some odd reason you see persecution as some kind of competition. You said in your previous post, "you need to have a word with those persecuted and left homeless by Muslims" but typically didn't show anything where "Muslims have persecuted and made people homeless". Can you not find anything where Muslims have persecuted other faiths and made them homeless, and where Christians are "the MOST persecuted in the world"?

I remember when the experts told us AIDS was guna kind of wipe us out ... Surprised youve not linked AIDS to Brexit somehow

Bit of a daft analogy Mr Birdstain as millions upon millions of people died of Aids. Its taken thirty years to get it under control and only because people took it seriously and those clever scientists, you know like the type who are trying to convince us now that man is influencing climate change worked hard for to avoid it wiping everyone out. At least most people admitted and realised it could kill you and needed sorting. You would have been alright though as you had to have had sex to catch it..

Sweet cheeks how to prevent the spread of AIDS has been known pretty much from the start , way over 30 years ago and in the western world been very successful way before your 30 years claim ... African countries not so and still not so and they definitely dont have it "under control"

Not denying they are "one of the most persecuted minorities in the world" just as I know you wont deny Christians are the MOST persecuted people in the world ... Regards

Ive looked in my "previous post" and cant find what you claim

Back to your usual pedantry i see. *-) Do you have an answer to the question i put to you?

As a Christian you have a much larger family in the Christian world and you need to have a word with those persecuted and left homeless by Muslims to see if religion plays a part in their homelessness

Literally took 5 seconds ... https://www.archbalt.org/christians-flee-after-muslims-destroy-pakistani-village/ ... Your good at looking stuff up so go find princess ... Remember princess is a word used affectionately , not like your homophobic "pansy boy" and if you cant remember what ive said in which post then just say "in your previous posts" ... Simple

Now now pansy you can cut the faux "affection" as i don't want it thank you....and you're just baiting with that now. Totally unnecessary. So not so much "the MOST persecuted in the world"....more an example of where persecution has taken place to force homelessness. When you look at the figures involved of the Rohingya, you will see why.

https://www.hrw.org/world-report/2019/country-chapters/burma

Do you judge a persons homelessness by their religious faith then? What about those with no faith, atheists, who are homeless? Turn the back because they are without a faith, or a faith i "approve" of? That's not for me when i see homeless people.

The only bitterness appears to have been coming from you all along and i'm not the only one to have noted this as a few days ago another poster questioned why you were such a bitter person, callous i think was the word she used.

Typically you hijacked this thread to go off on yet another of your anti-Muslim and immigrant narratives which had absolutely nothing at all to do with the thread topic. You're well known for it which was where your mask slipped within hours of sneaking back on the forum with a new username after being kicked off as Antony1969.

This thread was about a professional musician who gave his guitar collection to auction raising £17 million which he donated to a charity.....but you still found a way of shoehorning your obsession in just as you do with other unrelated subject topics.

This is one of my guitars. Its my Motorhome guitar at the moment. Must be worth a fortune. I think it was purchased from Argos in the early 90s for about forty quid but its travelled the world with a bonafide Rock God. I was thinking of auctioning it to help refugees move to Huddersfield. Who will start the bidding at say £999?
