starvin marvin
I have our van insurance with Comfort, and I’ve not yet spoken with them. Does anyone know if “windscreen cover” extends to all “glass”? In my case a cracked plastic rooflight.
tonyishuk
I would suggest that depending on cost, putting in a claim maybe more trouble than its worth. Your claim will be recorded , so any investigation of a future claim for same or different problem will show up. Plus the fact you will have to declare " a claim " for the next five years when renewing your insurance or looking for new quotes. No winners with insurance companies. paulmold
Even windscreen cover has an excess these days. I have to pay the first £90 of any windscreen claim, so even if you could claim it would not be paid by the insurance company. What's a complete rooflight cost , £40? And you might only need the dome. Not worth persueing.
