weldted
As my brand new Burstner comes fitted with an awning should it include the tensioning pole and tie down strap over the years I have bought three other new UK vans and all have had these? spirou
Our old one has a tensioning pole but no straps (just tent pegs to hammer the legs down), the new one should be here in a few days but I don't remember seeing a pole.

Hans
Never heard of this. Only a rafter. And Straps.
spirou
Checked the new one, only tent pegs, no straps or tensioning pole. Thule omnistor on both vans.
Robinhood
My (recent) Omnistor has no provision for a tension rafter, BUT, it does have two additional adjustable braces in the front box that engage with the tension arms, and thus do away with the necessity for a rafter. https://cdn1.static-tgdp.com/ui/productimages/approved/std.lang.all/21/93/522193_sized_1800x1200_rev_1.jpg
Hans
Nice picture Robinhood. On a 8000 Thule i had before you can block and fix that 90 degrees angle in the picture by a 90 degree swing bolt. only when fully out. And release it when pulling in. A warning for that is under the roll cover. If you do not do that the up rolling is under large stress. And can stress the fabric and can make play in rol. So when you roll out again it fall out the play at first start. But a extra rafter is always possible. Remember Fully out.
