I have to agree with Deneb all the way. If you take a look at our recent Google review, you will see a gentlemen post about his recent attack on his van.

The cost of repair to this customer's van was around the £5K mark, with extensive damage to his dash, body computer, steering wheel/column, Driver's door and mirror.

Cost of repair to the security system was minimal (most of which done FOC), but the van was still there.

 

Most of the time with the fact that the Sevel Group of vans and Ford chassis alike, obtaining parts from breakers yards is getting easier, so to deal with the damage once stolen really isn't that much of a bother to them.

 

There is also the issue of Can-Bus electrics as a whole. Whilst OBD Blocking devices work in their own right, if you have a really clued up pro, they will spend a bit of time in finding the wiring grouping for the Can-Bus and use a Reader-Writer to bypass the system.
