Today red transmission warning light came on shortly after whilst still on hill hold not available and warning of slippery conditions ( yellow picture of a car with wavy lines behind) temp 9.0c dry road very slight incline, van empty cruising at 45 mph. By the time I could pull over safely lights had gone out.
witzend
Just might be something recorded on ecu if you get the fault code read
Deneb
Just to add that the yellow warning light picturing a car with way lines isn't a slippery road warning. It means that the Electronic Brake Force Distribution (a sub-system of the ABS ECU which limits the brake force to the rear wheels according to load conditions) has failed or is unavailable. Hill Holder is another ABS unit function, so possibly a one-off ABS glitch - fingers crossed. You'd need a reader capable of brake system diagnostics to check for any fault codes, or just wait and see if it recurs for now ;-)
