flyboyprowler
We are in the south east corner of Almeria, in the Mojacar area, and as of tonight we are on lock down. If your are still touring in this area, be careful as vehicle's are only to be used for essential purposes, and only one person allowed in the car. Dogs may only be walked by one person, and not in any built up or populated area. Supermarkets, petrol stations and pharmacies are the only shops open. There are considerable fines on those who break the rules, and police will stop and request the purpose of travel. We believe that some ferries are still running, but also France has or is trying to close its borders. We are luckily in our house, but not able to get access to, or indeed travel back in our van. These measures should help curb the spread of the virus, and are in force for the next 15 days, and may be extended. As Spain is a week or so ahead of the UK, I actually feel safer here in Spain and shall wait until it is technically safe to travel. So do take care, there are many Madrid residents that have fled their homes and headed south to their holiday homes, and sadly bought the virus with them, so they too should be avoided.
