Nicepix
It is the way of the EU. The longer they can draw this out the better chance of Brexit not happening, First they bully and make threats then they stall. Barmier's biggest problem is that 27 different countries all have their own wants from the Brexit deal and all will have things that they will not want to give up. So some will have to be bribed, blackmailed or bullied into giving up their own demands for the common, i.e. German, good. Fishermen will be bought off and given compensation so that German cars, Italian domestic appliances and French & Spanish fruit and vegetables can still be sold competitively to the UK. Brussels will be told to wind their neck in as everyone can see that no country would accept EU rules and laws after leaving the club, so they will lose face and basically everything will much go on as before except the UK will be free to expand its own economy instead of subsidising EU industries. In three years time nobody will admit to voting to Remain.
