Derek Uzzell
Robinhood - 2020-07-06 2:24 PM As I said, it's probably been discussed to death, but I was most interested in the wording of ETRTO's recommendations for Motorcaravan tyres, not some interpretation of it by either individuals or manufacturers. I've now found a downloadable version of the 2023 recommendations here: http://pneusnews.it/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/2013-ETRTO-RECOMMENDATIONS.pdf I hesitate to say this, but I provided the link you’ve just found in my posting of 28 May 2020 9:10 AM here https://forums.outandaboutlive.co.uk/forums/Motorhomes/Motorhome-Matters/Continental-Vancampo-Tyre-pressures/55287/ The critical question as far as I was concerned (and why I pushed Michelin for a firm answer in 2014) was whether the CP-marking had a technical foundation based on a defined specification and testing regimen or not - and Michelin said not. As you’ve said earlier, the ETRTO’s standards manuals (not their recommendations document) have to be purchased and, as I certainly wasn’t prepared to pay good money to just satisfy my curiosity, I contacted Michelin as I assumed they would hold the relevant ETRTO manual. I also emailed the ETRTO (in French and more in hope than anticipation) to see if they’d send a copy of the CP-marking information. I never received an ackowledgement or answer.
