I had a job for nearly two decades that took me to just about every town or city in the uk at some point or other with a population of say more than 70000 and many very frequently so Ive been around a bit. I could drive around places like Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, London, Glasgow, Leicester, Bradford even 8-) , without a sat nav or map so I would say ive been around a bit, got to know many places especially Manchester, London and Glasgow very well indeed. One things for sure. Your Eaton Tory pals who you stupidly think you are part of their club dont give a toss about the amount of none EU immigrants they let in to your towns and cities as they wont be living anywhere near them. I had a job for nearly two decades that took me to just about every town or city in the uk at some point or other with a population of say more than 70000 and many very frequently so Ive been around a bit. I could drive around places like Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, London, Glasgow, Leicester, Bradford even 8-) , without a sat nav or map so I would say ive been around a bit, got to know many places especially Manchester, London and Glasgow very well indeed. One things for sure. Your Eaton Tory pals who you stupidly think you are part of their club dont give a toss about the amount of none EU immigrants they let in to your towns and cities as they wont be living anywhere near them. (lol) So you haven't lived anywhere except where you were brought up ;-) .......... Well thats debatable. I lived pretty much out of a suitcase for about ten years with about 50% of that time spent in London and the rest all over the UK, sometimes Ireland (North and South) and the USA. I was based in London for about four of those years. When I started my own company my second home was Manchester. You might assume it was all Wine bars, clubs and the Hilton but I knew a lot of people, locals. Certainly spent time in some of the dodgier parts of many of those places. It's simple to me: if people talk about those "others" in derogatory, extreme, or racist terms; or continually quote people using similar terms, or selectively highlight only their reported misdemeanours, whose fault it it if they come to be seen as extremists or racists? Such people are merely the authors of their own misfortunes, aren't they? What is really odd is when people, having spent most of their time demeaning "those other" people, complain they are being unfairly treated if anyone subjects them to similar treatment. It is even odder when those same people continually resort to accusing their critics of hypocrisy. Simple remedy? Do as you would be done by. After all, if someone shoots themselves in the foot, whose fault is that - the person who pulled the trigger, or a bystander who says "goodness, you've just shot yourself in the foot"?
