StuartO
This year the Chief Rabbi has suggested broadening the things we remember on this day to include all episodes of genocide, regardless of which religion or ethnic grouping was the target. There have been several since WW2, including two that are happening now, in Myanmar and China. There is a suggestion that we light a candle in our windows at 8pm this evening. I'm not Jewish but I think this is an excellent idea, especially the broadening of the the remembrance to all genocides.
mtravel
The slave trade was also a form of genocide.
