A friend has pointed out that a different Licence class may be needed so I need some help decoding our VIN plate and hope someone may be able to help. This is what it says: FIAT AUTO S.P.A. DGM...... From your VIN, Gross vehicle weight 3,000 kg – drive on a standard licence Gross train weight (combined maximum allowable mass of the vehicle and trailer) 4,600 kg The other two weights are the max for front and rear axels. If you were to take advantage of its MTW [ Vehicle plus trailer] you would require B+E.
