steve hill
Off to Spain next month, we have the jabs and the first part of the location document done, but I was wondering if anyone who has caught the ferry "recently" has had any problems on arrival with searches for wrong food, document checks etc? We have done the trip pre Brexit and it was very easy.
Den
We went out in July with milk, slightly hidden and the normal items we take. Not to much with Spain being so good for low prices. We had no problem and the only vehicles they pulled over were those carrying animals. We went down to ALmoradi and found everyone wearing masks much more and being more covid aware. I’m sure you’ll have a great time. I did put in order on my mobile all the details that have to be checked and scanned. It worked superbly. Steve H
We arrived back in the UK two weeks ago after touring Spain for two months. Very low key. No vehicle search when landing at Santander though we did transfer some Brit meat to a coolbag before leaving the ferry at Santander. Very low key. On the return trip, pretty straightforward though you must expect to have your vehicle searched on arrival back in the UK.

If you want feedback on what is currently happening 'check-wise' on arrival at Santander, you might try asking about this on the Brittany Ferries Enthusiasts (BFE) forum. https://bfenthusiasts.com/bfe/ You'd need to register to post there and your first few posts would be moderator-vetted before appearing on the forum, but BFE forum members are travelling fairly often on the UK-France/Spain routes, so should be up-to-date on what's going on. I have been a member for a day. Was it something I said? :-S
