Derek Uzzell
Parking at the Newhaven ferry port is covered here http://www.newhavenferryport.co.uk/facilities.html This 2018 forum thread may also be useful https://forums.outandaboutlive.co.uk/forums/Motorhomes/Motorhome-Matters/Suggested-overnight-stop-for-early-Newhaven-ferry-/49934/
phalange
We stopped overnight last night, we arrived on the 2100 ferry and went straight to the car park at the side of the train station. 4 other vans there. A relatively quiet night just the noise of the odd train and buses.

simian
The carpark at the exit from the ferry terminal adjacent to the rail station has a £5 charge, Pay at Ticket Office. As noted night of 27 Feb. Some 'vanners park up just outside this carpark in an area used for lorry manoeuvring/parkup it's just possible to keep out of their way. Not the best overnight parking provision IMO to be found at Newhaven, but that also applies to the other X channel terminals, Portsmouth allows an overnight at the side of the queuing lanes, or at least used to.
