nigelmgpp
Where can I get a camping card to use in Europe instead of leaving my passport with the camp site management, I would appreciate some help please. Nigel Happy motorhoming
Way2Go
If you mean the Camping Card International, the only places who sell them are The Caravan Club and The Camping and Caravan Club. Both have web sites and can be ordered on line.W2G
michele
As above you get the carnet from the Caravan Club

Ralph
I once got one from the AA shop. Dunno if that's still possible, or indeed if the AA still have shops.
Clive
The RAC, AA, Camping Club and Camping and Caravanning Clubs supply them. I believe you don,t have to be a member but the fee may be bigger if you are not one. We have found it unessesary to get a new card every year. Providing the details on the card are the same as those on your passport the site commandants seem happy. In deed if one is only staying 1 night and you pay when you arrive they don,t event want a card.

Way2Go
£4.75 from the C&CC but it would be quicker to phone as "some cards" get ignored despite what it says on the web site. Quote "yeah, we've had a few problems with that" . . . don't get me started on that one ;-)
michele
Its only 6.50 from the RAC and it looks real easy to do on line 8-)
Tony Jones
Motorcaravanners Club do it too - and if you're not already in a club they're cheaper to join than most of the others. Tony
Brian Kirby
This may be of interest to card holders. You can get on line access to, or download and print a .PDF file of, the country by country lists of campsites offering discounts to CCI holders. There is an implied warning that you may have to ask about the discount at the site reception, and that this may be forefeit if paying with a credit card. http://tinyurl.com/3agwbz
Ralph
When staying on ACSI sites the ACSI card is accepted by most instead of the CCI. As these give good prices as well it makes it a good investment. http://www.campingcard.co.uk/
David Dwight
Hi Nigel, Another advantage of the Camping Carnet that no one has mentioned ,is that you get good third party insurance cover with it. Therefore you will need to renew it annualy. David

nigelmgpp
Just like to thank everybody that posted replies to my question and I have filled in forms that I downloaded from the RAC website and have sent these forms of and awating them, to come back when the RAC has done the card for me. Then when I am next off to Europe or Stay in Britain I can use them instead of my passport. The thrid party insurance that goes with them is a nice bonus to have, because accidents do happen at the most awkward times and this will be acomfort & piece of mind that if the unexpected does happen. Thanks Nigel Happy Motorhoming
