chris Posted June 27, 2023 Share Posted June 27, 2023 Hello. Since 2019 our fridge freezer RMD8555 Dometic 2014 started warming up on electric after 24 hrs. This was an intermitent fault then in 2021 it starrted working properly again and was OK until this year. It now will not cool down in the fridge section but the freezer worked for about 8 days. Now no freezer either. We tried it on electric then and worked OK a day or 2 then stopped working on electric. We have no warning messages at all abd we can here the pilot light lighting. . Dealer in 2020 and 2021 tested van and said it was fine. We use gaslow bottles. Would love to get some ideas from everyone so we can make suggestions to our new to us caravan maintenance centre. After recording all the symptoms and temperatures for a week then we took it to a local workshop and he contacted Dometic to confirm his diagnosis. This week we have just had a new "cooling tower" fitted. All working so off we go again. Hope this helps anyone with a similar problem.
