Dometic RM 7290L fridge freezer

Hi Everyone..Got an old Dometic fridge freezer in a 2008 Burstner Travel Van, which has stopped working on electric hook up. The light comes on but no chilling or freezing happens.

Works fine on gas but for length of stay, having the freezer working would be less troublesome.

Any suggestions as to the problem and do you think that it’s possible to find the necessary spares for this older model?

Thankyou

Delfy

Is everything else working on 220/240 v mains ?  Check you have a power supply to the fridge and a fuse has not blown first. If they are ok Have the connection thermals checked along with the thermostat by a competent electrician if you are not qualified yourself  Let these be the first steps Yes parts are available The heater element itself is a 125 w  Number 4.42.58.02-0 Manufacturer code 2890209204

Thankyou so much for this very specific information.
Wish you were next door to do the job. I’ve been looking at portable freezers to use on hook up once we arrive and have stopped for a shop at Mercadonna!!
So there is hope for our Dometic after all ….. once again many thanks one cal ..
