coach2000
Hello all. I have not been going on any travels to France since the pandemic, and hoping to start again next January. Has anyone been to the above aire in Soustons recently. I cannot find any up to date info. Clive
rayc
There is a Camping-car park by the Soustons lac https://www.campingcarpark.com/en_GB/stay/stopover-site-motorhome/nouvelle-aquitaine/40-landes/azur
Robinhood
The one at Soustons Plage is shown on Google Maps as permanently closed. I don't always find Mr Google reliable, but the reviews from the link there (last year) do indicate that it was due for closure/move elsewhere. Derek Uzzell
Apparently there's an r "AireServices" installation at Soustons. This link suggests it's open April-through-September https://reseauaireservices.com/aire/soustons-aire-pour-camping-cars-camping-municipal-lairial/ While this link says it's open all-year-round https://www.campingcar-infos.com/Francais/cci.php?numero=34924
Robinhood
18 minutes ago, Derek Uzzell said: While this link says it's open all-year-round ...appears to be restricted to two days only, though. (I was assuming that the OP was referring to the Aire next to the beach at Av de La Petre. Reviews of the alternative Aire referenced above also indicate that Av de La Petre has now "gone"). coach2000
Thank you for all your replies. It looks like I will have to stay in Messanges. There was 2 aires. 1 on each side of the lake last time I went in 2020. None are listed on any of the aires guides now. Will have to re-explore the region to see what exactly has happened in the area. I suspect that due to all the people living on the sites all year round and even having a caravan as well. The aire was looking a bit like a homeless permanent park up. Clive
