alh
Brand New swift Voyager 584 and on second trip out grey water pipe split on leaving a campsite that had a very small ramp on exit. Tore into low grey waste pipe and now split leaking with broken tap. Any one else had issues with this?
Derek Uzzell
Welcome to the Out&AboutLive forums. This forum has a quite small active population and I think the chances of you getting feedback from other owners of current Voyager 584 motorhomes are slim. Your best bet would be to GOOGLE=search on swift motorhome forums and seek advice on the larger forums (MotorHomeFun, MotorHomeFacts, etc.) or on the relevant Facebook groups. Quite a few motorhome designs have had waste-water drainage pipework that was visually and obviously (and thoughtlessly) very vulnerable to damage from 'grounding' on quite low ramps (eg. when entering or leaving a ferry). It sounds like the Voyager 584 is another one of them.
Chopsy10
We’ve just collected our 2024 swift voyager 540. Thought the waste was low but found it actually turned through 90 degrees and gave what looked to be suitable clearance. Not sure it’s by design but it turned. Tracker
Over the years we had similar issues with several vans and due to our liking of non site overnighting, often over rough ground, I removed the outlet from the bottom of the tank and replaced it with an almost flat removable screw in access for full draining cover. I then replaced the outlet into the back (or side of the tank) as close to the bottom as posible depending on access and pipe route. It did not drain fully as before but it was OK as neither did it get broken off!
