A W Posted July 28, 2007 Share Posted July 28, 2007 Lately there seems to have been a lot of postings about France so lets wade in with another which hopefully won't upset anyone. The Pointe Du Raz is the French equivilant of Lands End and is West of Quimper in Brittany. The scenery is amazing with beautiful cliffs and lots of off-shore islands and lighthouses.At times the tide race is a sight and sound to behold around the point. There are several cafes in what I think may be an old German gun emplacement area but I'm not sure I'm historically correct on that point.There is a visitor centre with all the usual buff. The point of all this is that you can stay in your camping car overnight for 10€. What do you get for your 10€? Absolutely nothing other than to spend a night amongst fantastic scenery.There is an aire about 3 miles away for waste/fresh water and I promise you'll have an unforgettable night in a perfect location.
