Dino544
Anyone know location of the leisure battery on a Rapido 786f
GandJP
I found this on a website https://www.hoylesdenholme.co.uk/detail/1046451/used-rapido-786f-one-owner-from-new-rear-fixed-bed--twin-sofa--1000-s-of-extras-bradford and it looks to me that it shows a battery in the floor and a second in the box that looks to have been added. Hope this helps.
Derek Uzzell
At one time it was commonplace for Rapido to put the leisure battery in a box under the bed, with access through a hatch just inside an exterior locker door. This is a (translated) answer to a question on a French motorhome forum about where the leisure -battery was on a 1999 Rapido 970. On the Rapido 970 (integral) the auxiliary battery is in the same location as on the 770 (profile). On the motorhome's exterior you should have a locker door that opens under the bed. Just inside the locker door there is a covered slot in the floor, you lift the cover and you find the battery. I recall talking to a Wokingham Motorhomes rep at a Shepton Mallet show many years ago. He told me that Rapido had designed the strength of the floor to cope with the weight of a single battery and, when a keen DIY-owner had unwisely added another adjacent box and a 2nd leisure battery and was driving on a rough road, the whole lot (both boxes and both batteries) had torn clear of the floor and dropped on to the road beneath. So the arrangement in the photo with a 2nd battery in a box on top of the floor makes very good sense...
