Champstar
Just back from a weekend up in Glencoe and just a word of warning as the C&CC site has a water problem and has warning notices about boiling and not cleaning teeth and to avoid swalling water when washing and showering. Not sure what about other campsites around this location....I always use tablets to treat my water on filling up my water tank..it is best that way to avoid any risks..especially when near farm land on anywhere there is spring water. Just wanted to point this out to anyone going in this direction soon to be prepared.
Highlander
Was at Ullapool flast weekend, similar problems there. Campsite was giving out bottled drinking water. Seems there has been a problem there for a few weeks but didn't stop the locals taking ice in their whisky (lol)
Danny B
I was at the Morvich CC site last week and the water was a beautiful shade of brown which the warder assured me was perfectly safe to drink, but I did not want to risk spoiling my whisky
