bigal55 Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 durdle door. great view, steep walk to beach, west bay haven site, but the chavs won,t be there now, charmouth woodend caravan club site, also swanage has a couple level to beach, most of the sites on the Jurassic coast that are close to the sea tend to be sixty feet above it
CliveH Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 Warmwell caravan site is nice - site is split into an adults only bit and a family bit. The touring pitches on the adult bit can suffer a bit from road noise but there are many pitches away from the road on the "family" bit. www.warmwellcaravanpark.co.uk It is a bit further from the coast than some but to my mind the beach just down the road at Ringstead is one of the best. Durdle Door, Lulworth, Kimmeridge all in easy reach as well as Swanage, Corfe Castle & Wareham. Great Steam Train service nearby as well. The walk from Ringstead beach along the coastal path to Osmington Mills and the pub there is wonderful. It is only just over a mile so about 2.5 miles there and back but you can cut off the path and get onto the beach in a few places to explore. Oh! and the beer at the pub is worth a try!!!! :-D
