Guest starspirit
Those little packs of filled pasta boiled up and then mixed with a tin of Campbells tomato or mushroom soup are quick, cheap, hot, tasty and filling. Heinz Big Soups are OK too - specially if you add some more bits to bulk them out - like bacon, chicken sausage etc. - but like the pasta above you probably wouldn't want them too often! GJH
Baked Bean Mince - feeds four. 1lb mince, one onion, tin of baked beans, tin of sliced mushrooms, glug of brown sauce, glug of tomato ketchup, sprinkle of Worcester Sauce. Brown the mince in a saucepan; rough chop the onion and add it to the pan; add tins of beans and mushrooms; glug, glug and sprinkle to taste. Simmer for about 25 - 30 minutes. Serve with a slice of buttered toast per person. Graham
