Hymer C 9.
Just wondering what sites could be recommended for useing the Motorhome in the winter, the more sites to choose from the better. We used the CCC site at Delemeare Forest a couple of weeks ago and found it to be handy for train station with trains running into Manchest and Chester regularly, and lovley walks in the forest. This last few days we stayed at Oxon Hall right on the Park and Ride into Shewsbury a really nice old town for exploring around. The only down side was that we thought it expensive at at £38. for 2 nights It has to be said that the facilities on both site's were excellent heated toilet and showers and everything spotless. So any further idea's would be great. Carol.

Poppy
Bury cc site. Walk into Bury. Good rail links with Manchester and the excellent market. One tip from locals go at 3p.m when stalls start to close down and you get real bargins.Pub on site.Nearby bus stops and some lovely walking. MandyAndy
Just got back from Conkers C&CC site in Swadlincote, Derbyshire, excellent site, wardens where lovely and helpful. Lots of hard standings very well set out nice clean facilities, no loos or showers though , yet. We did Nottingham one day and Cannock the next perfect central point for the 2. Around £16.50 for the weekend including electric. Quite open to winds right now as the new trees not offering much protection. Mandy
