Guest Pete Leigh
Just been reading the letters in February magazine about problems filling these bottles in Italy where we are planning to go this year. Thought F Cimmins suggestion to fit a filler outside the gas locker seemed a good idea but am uncertain how this could be acheived. Anybody got any ideas? Incidently we filled our bottle without problem on French autoroutes last year.
Guest Brian Ramsden
Gaslow do an external filler kit, catologue number 01-4100, price £50. For safety's sake, your bottle must have a fill-stop valve so that it can't be filled over 80% full.
Guest Derek Uzzell
It's worth adding that the 'traditional' 12kg steel Cara-bottle (of the type marketed by MTH Autogas and TB Turbo) are normally sold nowadays with the remote-filler as standard.
