nippermotorhome
Anybody have a website for the above. Looking for prices for chairlift, parking for 7m motorhome etc. Any information would be a great help. Travelling in May/June, we are of elder years so nothing which requires great excerise. Many thanks Gil
Mel E
I take it you mean Fuente De in the Picos de Europa (there are other places with the same name in Spain). If so, there was no overnight camping allowed there last time I visited and you will have to return to the nearby town where there is a camp site. If you type Fuente De into Google, you'll get lots of hits, but you must make sure Google is NOT searching purely UK sites. Mel E ====

zulurita
Hi Gil, When we went Oct 2005 you could park a motorhome in the large car park opposite the lift. As it was that time of the year there were a couple of other motorhomes that looked as though they had stayed overnight. However if you cannot stay there drive back towards Potes town. Take a right turn before the town towards the Monastery, there is a campsite on the RHS or if you like wild camping you can stay in the large car park at the monastery. There are toilets which were open all night and there is also a water fountain. We stopped two nights here and did some walking. Parking in Potes is not so easy especially on market day. peterjl
Hi When we went (8 or 9 years ago) there was only a cable car - no chair lift. The cable car goes almost straight up with no intervening pilons - very spectacular and good walking at the top. Peter
crinklystarfish
Hi, Just to add to the overnighting opportunities, the car park of the sports centre in Potes (polideportiva) is an accepted overnighting spot for motorhomers. The local police even visit the car park fairly regularly which adds to a feeling of security - not that I've ever felt threatened there.Good luck. Brian Kirby
Alternatively, visit Camping Viorna, just on the South edge of Potes. An excellent site with immaculate, and immaculately maintained, facilities when we visited in autumn 2005. Not a large site, and family owned and run by the family who developed it. We rated it one of the best we had ever visited, anywhere!
