Derek Uzzell Posted February 25, 2008 Share Posted February 25, 2008 For a Private Message to move from your Outbox to your Sent Items 'folder' I'm pretty sure the intended recipient actually has to open the incoming message. It's possible to view the content of an incoming PM without opening it and, if you just do that, then the message will remain in the sender's Outbox. As long as the envelope-icon linked to an incoming PM remains 'unopened' in your Inbox then the PM will stay stuck in the sender's Outbox. I'm not sure what happens if a recipient deletes a PM from his/her Inbox without deliberately opening it first (Can one do that?) and I've got a feeling that glitches in the forum-system itself may also lead to PMs sticking in the Outbox.
