Lunar wheel bearings/timing belt

Hello folks

Is there anything special Ineed to know in order to adjust front wheel brgs. on a 1999 Ducato eg torque setting and is it a castleated nut and cotter pin or a fancy single use type. Any info on timing belt change also requested. Thanks Geoff

Hi Geoffrey and welcome to the forum. There is no adjustment on the front wheel bearings, they are of the pre loaded type. There should be no play in the bearings what so ever, if you can feel play then the bearing is worn and will need replacing. As for the timing belt is there anything specific you need to know?

Thanks Dave, at the last MOT tester said slight play in brgs but to adjust them. As to timing belt motor has only done 23000miles but I was thinking about the time limit and could a fairly competant home mechanic do it.
