stvekay
Hi don't know if anyone can help. Our thetford c200 toilet sounds gritty when swivelling, can the bowl be lifted to clean. I imagine sand has got in there. Thanks Steve
StuartO
The Thetford Parts List shows the bowl separately from the upper part of the base, on which it swivels, so it should be possible to get them apart. Not obvious how they fasten together from the parts drawing, so maybe it would be sensible to ask Thetford. They exhibit at some motorhome shows and I found their people very helpful. Maybe ring them up? There's also the chance that someone who contributes to this Forum has already done this job.
Keithl
Hi Steve, I would imagine there is some part that unscrews from below, have you tried removing the cassette and looking at the underside of the swivel? There are also a lot of videos of repair procedures on the Thetford website which may help... http://www.thetford-europe.com/download-product/c200/ Keith. andytw
Screws from underneath. Here is a video on replacing the solenoid. It shows how the bowl is removed. When I did this I put a mirror flat on the cassette runner to allow me to see up at the screws.
