Keithl
Taylor, What is the base vehicle and its year of manufacture? Or is it an 'A' class with non-standard headlights? Keith.
Derek Uzzell
The AHORN brand was discussed in this 2014 forum thread https://forums.outandaboutlive.co.uk/forums/Motorhomes/Motorhome-Matters/AHORN-/35922/ when historically the base-vehicle could have been Ford Transit, Mercedes Sprinter or Fiat Ducato. “AHORN Camp” motorhomes have been built in Germany for a while using the Renault Master as the base-vehicle. These links are to the 2020 catalogue and to a YouTube review https://www.ahorn-camp.de/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/RAW_Katalog_Ahorn_2020-ENG-small-1.pdf If Taylor is asking what modifications would be needed if an AHORN Camp motorhome were to be imported to the UK, the technical requirements are listed on the 2nd page of this VCA document https://tinyurl.com/y2pcttu2 Whatever the age of the AHORN motorhome or the base-vehicle involved (and assuming that the vehicle is in left-hand-drive ‘Continental European’ specification) it’s near certain original right-dipping headlights would need to be replaced with UK-specification left-dipping equivalents. The km/h-only speedometer dial would need to modified to show mph and km/h scales, which (depending on the base vehicle) might be done (relatively cheaply) by fitting a replacement Lockwood dial-face or (much more expensively) by replacing the complete instrument cluster. Photos of current Renault Master-based AHORN Camp models suggest that there are two rear fog-lights (one on each side) which, if so, would meet the VCA importing requirements. But previous AHORN models might well have had a different fog-light arrangement that would require changes to be made. (It would be helpful if Taylor provided some background. Minimal-information enquiries are really difficult to answer satisfactorily and quickly, and guesswork - however inspired - can waste so much time.)
