rooster63
I only have 3 240V sockets in my Timberland. Is it possible to change the double socket to a double with USB so freeing up sockets when charging iPhones etc. Are the sockets used camper van specific? Keithl
Why not use a pass through charger plug something like this https://www.amazon.co.uk/Masterplug-SRGAUSBPB22-Surge-Protected-Charger-Polished-Black/dp/B00N63FTMC/
rooster63
Good idea, hadn’t thought of that. Thanks
Robinhood
...if you're thinking of making a (semi-)permanent change, rather than a plug-in adapter, IMO you're better off wiring in a 12v-based USB charging socket to the leisure-battery circuit. That will allow you to recharge items both on and off hookup. You can possibly match the socket outlets you already have, if you're prepared to spend the money, or mount socket(s) embedded with a circular cutout. Possibly the simplest solution, however, is to use a "surface mount pod" and a 12v USB socket. (or double). Examples of the possible components here: https://www.12voltplanet.co.uk/12v-24v-usb-power-sockets.html I must admit that, as a precaution, I've used a switch in the circuit for these. rooster63
Have realised I have a 12V socket running off the leisure battery that normally powers the TV so can use that if not on EHU and the portable charging packs we have are out of juice. I already have a 12V USB plug.
