GressJ
Hi, just wanted to know if I will need any specific tap connector for my hose when filling my motorhome. Any help appreciated. :-D
Keithl
From previous experience it would be far better to arrive with your water tank already filled as there can be quite a queue for the few taps available. If you then need water over the weekend you will have to fill with a container rather than move your MH. The taps available may have a standard threaded connector or just have a plain spout, there is no hard and fast rule on showgrounds. Keith. We use an AQUAROLL and a submersible pump to fill water tank when not near a tap, it save moving our 8 metre plus van just to top up.
Brock
If travelling with a full tank of water, ensure your van's axle loadings/overall loading is not in excess of your plated weight. Some of the taps do get busy but unless it's cold and wet. standing in a queue with fellow motorhomers is a good time for chatter. We usually travel with 50l of water, take a food grade water container or food grade watering container to top up as necessary. Food grade is optional! Moving your van to a water point to use a hose won't go down well.
ColinM50
Witzend's given you some good ideas but personally I always fill up before I leave home and carry a 10m garden hose and a watering can. Covers all eventualities.
