  1. My Truma boiler (not a Combi) is powered by mains power or gas. If set to gas and the boiler fails to ignite it shows as a red light. If it ignites it shows up as a green light. So if it shows a red light then I suspect it is showing that it has not ignited. If the boiler has not been run on gas for a while it may take several goes to achieve ignition. Have you removed the external cover on the exhaust on the outside of the caravan? It will not work if that cover is on. Cheers,
  2. When I purchased our Adria Coral I fitted a thin fibreboard piece wrapped in thin boot lining material over that area between the seats. I then purchased an aftermarket carpet to suit the Ducato cab area. Now I do not feel like I am going to fall through that soft area when I walk on it. I agree the standard cover seems to not be strong enough even though it probably is stronger than it feels. The idea of the board came from my previous Autotrail that had the board & carpet as standard on Aust delivered motorhomes. Cheers,
  3. Spirou, no experience but a google search shows "Camping Athens" about 15 minutes drive from the port. An experienced free/wild camper friend often parked in a quiet street in an industrial part of town if he arrived into a city late. Good luck, cheers,
  4. On Utube there is a guy called "Chris Sloanes" who has completed several vids on travelling around Scotland in a VW camper van. Re NC500 he confirms that the west coast is more spectacular than the east coast is so go clockwise and do the east coast first. I have only driven the road up to Sky so can not confirm his thoughts. cheers,
  5. I suspect that creaking is a function of "application engineering". What I mean is how well it is fitted to the side wall of the motorhome. As I stated back in the original section my awning fitted to then Autotrail played a nice old tune. The Adria fitted with the latest version of the Omnistor brand after two years is noise free. Both motorhome brands are owned by Trigano so you could assume the "application engineering" should be similar or maybe not. Cheers,
  6. I use 4 lots of 6 pack boxes as shown in Derek's first image. They reside in the rear boot. We are in the last phase of our 16,000 km drive around the country and have not broken one bottle, the boxes work a treat. Cheers,
  7. Will, today prior to opening this site I had noticed my awning was creaking more than I remember from near the front swing arm. I tried tightening the three bolts that hold the assembly to the side of our motorhome. It had no impact on the noise, so I gave up. If there is a solution I would be happy to implement. Cheers,
