As it's now Christmas day I'll endorse Geeco's sentiment's.
Funny enough some of the rellies are over from Oz, they are in Paris ATM and suffering from a bad case of Covid!

WiFi calling on my Samsung S20 FE phone didn't work with Lebara when I joined in August (it did with Sky). I messaged them and within a couple of weeks it was enabled.
I just do the basic £5 a month and switch to a high data plan when going abroad.
It's pot luck as to if WiFi calling works with them, I know that some (maybe all) Nokia's don't work, some Sony's, and no Pixel's work. Their handling of this as been appalling, when gf's Nokia didn't work they blamed the phone, then when I pointed out it showed as a supported phone they blamed Vodafone saying some early versions of her phone wern't supported by Vodafone network, last summer we where passing a Vodafone shop and they kindly checked and the phone worked with a vodafone SIM, soon after gf broke the phone, she brought a Sony which showed as being supported, once again it didn't work, they sent out a new SIM, still no luck, we kept raising a case and after all the standard questions and suggestions they would say it was being passed onto tech managers and they would reply within 3 days, we never once got a reply from the tech managers. When gf and myself swapped SIM's we found her Sony and My Pixel worked fine on 1p mobile (EE network) but neither would work on Lebara, eventually got customer services on a voice call, and this one didn't do their favorite trick of cutting me off after 20mins, it was passed up the line and eventually they had to admit that WiFi calling on their network doesn't work correctly on many phones.

With the C&CC, when booking by phone we've always been given ACR (age concession rate) since registering for it, but when booking online you need to make sure you click the right box, as standard it enters the first person as non ACR, reduce this to 0 then put in number of people with ACR in relevant box.

Have used 'search for sites' in past, and may use them again.
We are members of C&CC as they give good rates for seniors and off season, and for CS's.

I believe modern car wiring uses a soy based insulation and this is why the rodents find it more attractive than the old plastic/PVC wiring which did not taste as good!
As this, I wasn't saying rodents haven't always gnawed wiring, but the issue has been made worse by the composition. My nabours BMW Mini was written off after standing unused for a few months, it would have needed a complete wiring loom, which due to age wasn't worth doing.

I would note that it's not a EV problem, it's due to manufacturing the insulation from vegetable products, IIRC it was Nissan who first had the problem 20 years ago.

I pay £4.95 a month (5p a month for first 6 months) for my Lebara (Vodaphone network) sim
A word of warning about Lebara, when it works it's OK, when it doesn't they are rubbish. It has taken 18 months for them to finally admit they have a problem with many phones when it comes to WiFi calling, knowing what we now know gf would not have brought her present phone which doesn't work with them on WiFi calling despite their website saying at the time it would.

On road or off road? If it's on road 'all terrain' will not improve matters, in fact they are likely to make it worse.
Also check your axle weights, its very easy to put a load of weight behind the rear axle which unloads the front.
Aside from that I would recommend a 'all season' tyre such as Michelin CrossClimate for use in the conditions mostly seen in UK.

Did think of buying again for 2024, but the only cross channel trip we (hopefully) will be making is Scandinavia, and looking online seems not that many ACSI sites there.

Was it on this forum that a member removed their wife from insurance because she wouldn't want to drive the van back any great distance.

being unsure why it would be lower ( I assumed if anything that I would have lost voltage between battery and jump point, I consulted the handbook and note that whilst the charger only charges leisure battery it also provides a FLOAT charge to vehicle, so I assume the solar panel also provides 5his float charge.
Depends how the solar is wired in, the dealer wired ours to the leisure batteries, so technically no charge goes to the vehicle battery, but just to muddy the waters, in summer the vehicle battery voltage has been known to rise, it almost seems as if a large excess of solar charging can cause a 'leak' of a small current to vehicle battery, but it doesn't happen in winter.

I hope that wasn't silicone 'mastic' you used, as it makes repairs that much harder.

x250/290, a month without starting in summer is pushing your luck, and in winter is fairly certain to result in non starting. A decent run out every couple of weeks is good, failing that will need a charging regime.

As above all insurances seem to have risen by large amounts in the last year or so. 18months ago we had three insurances with Saga, motorhome, car, and landlord, now we only have the motorhome with them, and that was only because of haggling hard and them having a good price for the European breakdown cover. Next year who knows, it's the compare sites who will determine.
-
Standard practice if you have solar is to disconnect panel from regulator before disconnecting battery, when reconnecting it's battery first then panel.
-
As you ask about connecting a charger to the engine battery I'm wondering why you wouldn't use any standalone charger to charge the leisure batteries?

Maybe the OP wants to 'upgrade' to a euro4 due to ULEZ, but if so should know that for diesel most (?) ULEZ are euro6, euro4 is for petrol.

The problems with QR codes have been known about for many years, and yet they where rolled out for carpark payments!

Entering the sections on the Out&AboutLive homepage (eg. the MOTORHOMES section)
https://www.outandaboutlive.co.uk/motorhomes
will produce (in my case) a message indicating that ad-blocking software has been detected and politely asking that displaying the adverts be allowed. Accepting the adverts is not really a problem, as - unlike the forums' adverts - they are 'focused' and static.
Clicked on the link and got no message about ad-blocker, might have been that sometime in past I had dismissed this and preference was shown on cookie? I did scroll down and then back up page and eventually a pop-up advert for MMM came up which I dismissed, this is the only time I've had a pop-up with this set-up, and when revisiting that page the pop-up no longer appears.
p.s. I've just visited the main forum page, then the 'motorhome maters', then this thread, and no adverts of any kind appear.

Same here when using Windowphone/Edge, or Android/Chrome.

Just like other types of insurance you can go to the comparison sites to get quotes, who will insure you, and how much they charge will depend on your personal circumstances, aside from the usual ones you might also want to try 'insurance surgery'.
-
I've just visited this site with Chrome(not my preferred browser) with no adblocker, looks like all the old totally unrelated pop-up ads are still there.
-
I've been running an ad blocker for a long while, don't get any pop-up's on here. There are some news site which detect the ad blocker and request you switch it off, other's block content unless you switch it off.

The data plate looks like one for a standard VW, your conversion will be closer to 'heavy' load than light, so you should never use the 36psi. As for 44 vs 47, technically the only way to know is weigh it fully loaded as you would go away, then refer to a online checker or ask tyre manufacterer, in the meantime I suspect either will do, but if you want peace of mind use 47.
Traveling with or without water
in Motorhome Matters

As above, a full water tank must have an effect on MPG, but our criteria for carrying water depends on what we expect to find whilst travelling, can definately tell how full our tank is when driving, maybe because the tank is behind rear axle and quite tall, so if we know that at journeys end there will be easy access to water we will carry around 1/4 of a tank, if we do not know whats ahead we fill to top.
At the end of any trip will drain tanks and boiler, flushing a couple of gallons or so from the fresh tank through the grey tank.
